PADI Open Water

Internationally recognised, the PADI Open Water course is the most popular scuba course in the world. It is a qualification for life and qualifies you to scuba dive with another qualified buddy to dive independently of supervision in conditions similar to, or better than those you trained in.
The course consists of two distinctive parts
1. Knowledge development & theory and 5 Pool training sessions
2. Four Open water dives in the sea, normally off Chesil Beach
Boat fees are additional. We may need to use a boat if the weather is being unkind and we can't dive off Chesil Beach.
Class size is maximum 4 in a group, giving you lots of time with our patient, friendly instructors to practice all your diving skills. You will be given your PADI Open Water manual when you book. You will need to read it & fill in the knowledge reviews contained in the manual The course will be split between the classroom, the pool and the sea. At the end of the course you will also complete a final multiple choice exam that covers the theory you will have learned. There are lots of opportunities during the course for you to ask questions about equipment, dive skills and local dive sites.

PADI Advanced Open Water
Advanced Open Water: Duration 2 days Weekend or Midweek. Contact for course prices. Prerequisites Certified Open Water Diver
The PADI Advanced Open Water course is designed to advance your diving skills. It consists of 5 open water dives in specialist areas including deep & navigation dives. Upon completion you will be qualified to dive to 30m in conditions similar to or better than those you trained in. As well as deep & navigation, your specialty dives can include boat, dry suit, wreck, search & recovery, drift, peak performance buoyancy, fish identification, night diving, multi-level, enriched air or naturalist. The exact dives that you do will be determined by your interest, the environment you are training in, the conditions at the dive site and your instructors discretion. Boat costs, equipment hire and air fills, are additional to the course cost. |
